Chuquisaca, 23 de julio de 2017 (INE).-\u00a0<\/strong>En Presto, el idioma con el que aprendi\u00f3 a hablar su poblaci\u00f3n es el quechua, es decir 9.676 personas de cuatro a\u00f1os o m\u00e1s de edad, mientras que 1.243 personas aprendieron hablar en castellano, de acuerdo con el Censo 2012, inform\u00f3 el Instituto Nacional de Estad\u00edstica al celebrarse un aniversario m\u00e1s de la fundaci\u00f3n de este municipio, ubicado en la provincia Zud\u00e1\u00f1ez del departamento de Chuquisaca.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan el Censo Agropecuario 2013, en este municipio se dispone de 32.427,23 hect\u00e1reas para ganader\u00eda, 5.056,09 hect\u00e1reas para uso agr\u00edcola y 4.274,14 hect\u00e1reas para uso forestal; adem\u00e1s se registr\u00f3 1.964 Unidades de Producci\u00f3n Agropecuaria (UPA).<\/p>\n

Entre las principales especies ganaderas se encuentran el caprino y ovino con 19.078 y 18.003 cabezas, respectivamente, siendo los m\u00e1s numerosos.<\/p>\n

Con relaci\u00f3n a la producci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola, los tres principales cultivos de verano en el municipio de Presto, son el ma\u00edz con una producci\u00f3n de 17.129,0 quintales, la papa con 16.457,5 y el trigo con 13.658,1 quintales.<\/p>\n

El municipio de Presto registr\u00f3 una poblaci\u00f3n de 12.385 personas en el Censo 2012, el mayor n\u00famero de habitantes se encontraba en el grupo etario de 6 a 19 a\u00f1os con 3.861 personas, seguido del grupo de 20 a 39 a\u00f1os con 3.389 habitantes.<\/p>\n

Proyecciones al 2017 revelan para esta regi\u00f3n del pa\u00eds una poblaci\u00f3n aproximada de 13.542 habitantes, de los cuales 6.949 son hombres y 6.593, mujeres. Para el 2020 se proyecta alrededor de 14.088 personas. Presto fue escenario de las batallas de Canal Pampa y Quespillajta, lideradas por la hero\u00edna de la independencia, Juana Azurduy de Padilla.<\/p>\n
